Thank you for your very kind comments, Mike. This is the reason that I started this website. Catholics discuss many other things on the internet, except the readings for Mass. What could be more important to discuss and think about, than how the readings for mass apply to our every day life? It is also wonderful to hear how individual Catholics are living out the gospel in their lives. We are all volunteers and the comments you and other readers leave are what encourage us to do this. It is wonderful to encounter our brothers and sisters in Christ, who live in many other countries, or different states in the US.

I’ve only been a member here a few weeks; but already I can say that these ‘daily moments’ have had a profound impact on me. Often during Mass the priest will say things during the homily that reinforce the readings or Gospel; but all too often I’m left scratching my head and wondering just what we were reading or hearing. Your ‘moments’ really illustrate a picture and fill in the blanks very well; it’s easy and interesting to read and even understand, and I feel totally enriched and even a bit more holy from the experience after I’m done reading it. Now I won’t let a day pass without the Mass readings followed by ‘A Catholic Moment.’ It’s truly wonderful, and the sense of enlightenment I am getting each day soothes my mind and enriches my heart. God bless you and all the other authors who write here and help those of us who need a bit more than just the daily readings to feel like one of the insiders. hahaha
