There is no doubt that you are filled with the Holy Spirit when writing your reflection. Your reflection brought me to tears. Reminding us at the end to be hopeful didn’t stop my pouring tears. Naming some of the horrors and terrors of the world in your reflection hit me really hard. All the scenes I see on television have been so disheartening that I always gaze into the future wondering what fate has in stock for the world. No doubt that all the horrors of the modern world are our own making, but I am afraid, how worse will it get before our Lord will come to our rescue. I grew up seeing a world of unity, a world of love and communal living. I could say then that life was sweet and beautiful. People had love, virtues and a sense of right and wrong. Our world is so inflamed with unprecedented hate that makes me feel that life is not worth living. I fear for our children and grand children. What have I and others turned the world to be? What are we leaving for them?
Like you emphasized, there is hope and the song crowns it all. Thank you so very much and may God continue to bless you and your family as you use your reflection to bring us closer to God . May God also use us, the readers of your reflection, to reach out to many in the world, just as you are doing.

Hey Chavinda – thanks for the comment and questions. Running for me is a meditation, a time of prayer and contemplation. I don’t run with music or headphones, just listen to the world around me, nature, and enjoy the beauty. That is why it is spiritual to me. Regarding faith – well, I always feel I can have a stronger faith, but I guess in times of crisis, where you lose all control, Jesus and our Catholic faith is always there, it’s always the constant, and I can always attend a mass, go to adoration, confession, etc. that’s what gets me through. And in the end, what else do you have, but to turn to God? God Bless
