Is it the Amish who reject technology and maintain traditional family values and a strong sense of community or Us with all our tech savy and distracting gadgets that isolate us from one another and the world around us ?. We Catholics ( and the modern world in general) can learn a lot from them. Time to unplug. A phone or a tablet is merely a tool, it shouldn’t be a lifestyle anymore than a hammer or a chisel should. As you sow, so shall you reap.

I know you’d like to keep politics out of it.. but… Politics is part of our societal lives… Who we vote into office also must exhibit a God-centered belief… One that conveys that we all must take responsibility for our actions… One that puts value on life… One that conveys work ethic… generosity… Love… and love, not as a slogan, but true agape love… The love that our Father gives to us…
No gun law is going to prevent the evil that has permeated our culture… Until we turn back to God… instill the moral fabric that has been irradiated from our Godless society, we will continue to reap what we sow… God allows FREE WILLto all… This is what makes our living in faith genuine.. It is not coerced…it has to come from each one of our hearts… We must refocus on the family… We must refocus on the value of life… And until the day comes that we do this as a society … a God- centered society.. we will keep walking down this dark path…
My prayers to all who have suffered from these incidents… And… The people who are hurting so bad that they take these horrible measures… May they one day soon experience the love and peace of our Lord… God’s. blessings to all…
Time to teach children to interact with another human being IN PERSON… Put the iPhone down… Visit in person… Hug somebody… And parents… We ALL need to do a better job of interacting with and being a huge part of our children’s lives…
