Joe,

This is my first time on your site and I was impressed. Also, we are visiting our oldest daughter who lives near mauldin,SC and she is eight minutes away from the Catholic Church St Elizabeth Ann Seton which I am looking forward to attend. It was to funny to see that you and your family attend the one in Indiana. Oh by the way we are Catholic and attend Our Lady of Good Help in Vermont. Thank you so much for your wisdom on what our Lord is teaching us. I just wish more would follow in his word and this world would be a better place to live. Diane

Thanks, Joe! Beautiful reflection. Jesus has given us His Spirit. Love others with divine love is possible. But when we fail to do so, let's turn our faces back to Jesus, pray and try harder next time.

Spot on message... I pray every morning as my quiet alone time with the Lord. I started praying for people like ISIS but had to re-evaluate... I was praying like a person who found nithing but fault withnthese people. And yes, their actions are terrible... But i lost sitevif myself abd my iwn flaws...Now I pray for EVERYONE to look in the mirror and be honest about what they see rather than being self righteous in prayer as though we are free of fault or sin. We are surrounded by people who are constantly trying to find fault with others. Our society has become one of always playing the victim... No taking ownership for your actions or lack of actions. If EVERYONE took Christ's simple message to love one another like he loves us... Can you imagine what a wonderful world it would be...? Christ's blessings to all... Thank you for the wonderful message....

The question you asked, "How do I love, even the seemingly unlovable?' is a question I ask myself daily, especially, as I listen to the local and world news. We live in a dark world in need of light, and as you point out, we are to be that light. With God's Grace which is so freely given, loving as Jesus loved is possible...thank you for the reminder. God Bless you, your family, and your ministry.
