I remember the day I asked god to show me if he was real. He did. He parted the cloudy sky and shone brilliant rays of sunlight from heaven and gave me peace in my soul. He showed me he was real and I have never doubted since then It was 40 years ago. Joe maybe the lord parts a great deal more clouds than we know or maybe we are just not aware of. Thanks for your beautiful sharing

thanks Joe. You never fail to amaze me. You hit the nail the head. And that's what I like about faith. The moment you share such a strong faith as yours, it can't but light up the lives of those who choose to see its magnificence. Just like light.

When the Pope came to Living History Farms in Des Moines, IA (USA) in October of 1978 (I think)!! He was going to arrive in a helicopter. It was a rainy, chilly day. As soon as his helicopter came into sight, the sun came through the clouds and it ended up being a beautiful day for Mass! Nice reflection Joe. We need to be reminded that we don't see all the good that happens because of our prayers. Things I like to pray for are the people who have asked us to pray for them, those who have no one to pray for them, and those who have no HOPE.

I picked up the rosary a few years ago and began using it as my way of offering up prayers, for others in need, to
God through Mary. Some days, I feel a little lazy or too rushed and consider skipping this daily devotional. Then I think, if I can believe on one day that my prayers really help how could I so selfishly refuse to help on the next day! Then I gladly say my rosary, knowing that my little ol prayers actually can comfort someone in pain. Somwhere, someone is getting an extra comforting hug from God!
