It does not mean to tolerate what is wrong, but to shine an encouraging light to what is right, and sometimes it just means your presence in that person’s life, insofar as it is not harmful or your dignity is being threatened by that person. It’s a beautiful thing when I witness someone rising above the sentimentality and warm fuzzy feelings that the world calls love. The world’s idea of love is only a poor imitation of love, that makes an idol out of self-seeking behaviors of finding “happiness.” It’s one of the evil one’s most clever tricks. I thank the Lord for Jesus showing me the way, and it still is a great challenge, 2,000 years later.
