Thank you for the reflection. The second reading from Timothy however confused me a bit considering the theme of today’s readings. St.Paul seemed to praise himself by referring to fighting a good fight. It was only after reading it another time that I realized that St. Paul was referring to task that he was given by the Lord and which he was now completing and maybe handing over the baton to Timothy to continue the good fight. And the fact that he was about to face martyrdom gives a proper definition of that good fight.
