Thank you for sharing your honest and personal reflection. I really appreciate how you connect Scripture with your life experiences and personal growth. Your reminder to choose hospitality and let God’s light soften our hearts means a lot.

Amen Pip.
There's a saying about glass houses. And another about a plank in an eye. I, too, have my prejudices. I know, too, that I am far from perfect.

Peace

I understand your thoughts. In England we face the same difficulties. In the early 1970s I saw at first hand the abuses of Trade Unions. Today the balance is strongly anti worker and I am a proud member of a TU. The late 19thC social justice teachings of the Church are just as valid today.

We too have substantial illegal immigration (open doors), while many educated professionals are emigrating. But: there are many refugees from persecution. I have known Iranians in London who left torture and more, and who contribute much to us. We need the Lord’s discernment to care for those in need, while treating illegals with justice. If not us, then who?

from MARK "G",
Thank You all so very much for your love and support. I appreciate your honesty and openness. I try to earn it every Sun. ** A confessor once told me, "We will never be perfect until we are perfect in Heaven with God". I've said it before, our pathway is paved with our "trying", never give up on ourselves. GOD Won't.!! :)

Being human is part of knowing we are prone to error. But what is important is that when we come to full knowledge of such error to correct it. And I guess, you are doing so already and that is all that matters.
We thank God for his word "Our Saviour Jesus Christ" and the light he has brought our way. As we celebrate ths light today, let it continue to illumine every dark patch of hatred, pride, indifference, envy, covetousness and replace them with love, humility, care, respect and charity.
Happy Sunday!
