I was able to go to Reconciliation today. Part of my Penance was to pray for the Holy Spirit for the strength to resist a persistent sin. Very appropriate for that with today’s reading and your reflection where you mention the Spirit awakening courage within us. Thank you for the guidance and reminder!

It’s easy to see WHY Jesus chose Paul to turn from his ways and join the winning team!! haha He certainly was a tough and courageous cuss, wasn’t he?? I just love Paul, because like us he was a rather arrogant and self-righteous man; but when he turned towards Jesus he was less arrogant and self-righteous and this time he just KNEW he was right!! That grittiness is always necessary at times for any of us to be good and loving Christians. After all, Paul pointed the way for US!!
