Yes I agree that the Protestant doctrine of once saved always saved is an attempt to proclaim loudly in a masculine manner the black and white of salvation and entirely shun MYSTERY! So no one knows the fate of anyone because we don’t understand reality how God’s mercy and justice affect us individually. But yes we must keep “running the race” all the while knowing how frail we ALL are

Thank you for another inspiring, informative reflection. I look forward to Saturday morning devotions, it’s like an adventure awaits, and I can’t wait to open it up and start reading!
When I was going through a hard situation a few years ago, I would listen to “God and God Alone” by Steve Green. He’s got quite a set of lungs!
