I can relate to your reflection, Bob. My hubby's company has laid off 100 people so far with another wave of layoffs in the coming months. It's difficult to think of so many people being let go right before the holidays when it's supposed to be a time of celebration and joy. We pray every night for his job and that his name is not on the list. It can be anxiety-provoking, but we acknowledge that God will provide. He always has and He always will. His track record for taking care of us and protecting us over the years has been miraculous in every way. We have felt blessed in the midst of hardship. As I get ready to go to work at the hospital today, I'll remind myself to look for the presence of God as I encounter my patients and co-workers. I pray to radiate Christ today and that He shine through me with everyone I come into contact with. Thank you, Bob, for your insight and God bless you and all as we go about our day :)

Excellent reflection Bob. I was raised by a very loving but authoritarian father. I have 7 brothers and sisters and one of the things we all remember (he's in heaven now) is for him to say, "do it as if I'm right there with you, watching you do it." I'm sure there are others with similar parental experiences. The point being, we should conduct ourselves as if our Omnipresent God is right there with us as He truly is, and also look for His glory among us. Many times I rise and fall with this, but it helps to call it to mind and continue on the path. God bless all.
