Thanks for your reflection John. Yes the desire to be accepted is strong in all of us but of course as the saying goes we should remember “To thy own self be true”.

They can either help us to become better and closer to God, or draw us away from Him, sometimes very subtly.

Thank you, John! The need to belong and feel like part of something is a very strong lure…how great it is that the group that we belong to, the group that makes us feel like home, is led by someone who wants nothing more than for all of us to love and care for one another.
