Many confuse the different ravages of Israel by foreign powers. In the 8th century it was the Assyrians who destroyed the northern kingdom of Israel and besieged but did not defeat the southern kingdom of Judah. The Babylonians invaded, destroyed the temple and exiled many from Judah in 587 bc

John, interesting bit of history from the time of Joel.
The Israelites have for tough time for being God’s chosen people and now back at it again.
From what I understand, God gave this land to Isreal 3,500 years ago.
I wonder what the Jewish people have done (or not done) this time around to deserve this kind of treatment?
