He questioned the USCCB policy identifying abortion as “the preeminent” moral issue, saying it would be misleading if any new document “were to give the impression that abortion and euthanasia alone constitute the only grave matters of Catholic moral and social teaching that demand the fullest accountability on the part of Catholics.”

Thanks John for an insightful reflection. Yes, we are often faced with situations when we have to decide whether or not make a compromise. The easiest way is to just do it…to prevent further arguments. But, let’s not forget our core Catholic values. At least these would give us pause/food for thought…and with a little prayer and intervention of the Holy Spirit, let us all be guided in the choices we make. We will include Lynn in our prayers.

John, thank you for very well written reflection. Probably the best explanations I’ve
heard on this whole circumcision story in the gospels.

Thank you John. Strength in faith to compromise for the greater good is my fall back…these are moments where we look deep into our own souls and choose what is right. Prayers for Lynne and strength to her through our Lord Jesus. Peace my brother
