I think we have all experienced the fire and brimstone approach to faith which as you said is entertaining but doesn’t have many takers. The opposite end of the spectrum is the very quiet faith. I think demonstratin your faith in your daily actions and interactions with others is what will draw people to want to deepen their faith….

It is about building authentic relationships with people not beating them over the head that bring people to Christ. I attended IU Bloomington in the late seventies and early eighties and Jed was there with the same fire and brimstone message as you experienced. He must have traveled around to various Universities.
