I say Amen to that brother! I circum to evil thoughts last weekend that I thought were gone in my life. I’m a shamed, embarrassed, and humbled. Lord have mercy on my soul!

I love your analogy of children at play. It clearly explains how we can find happiness even in the most difficult circumstances.
It actually fits perfectly with another daily meditation I’ve been reading from St. Faustina on Devine Mercy!

Agreed. Simple. Yes simple however easier said than done. It takes concentration and downright determination as evil comes from all angles. We need strength from the graces of God (wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord). Fight the good fight in Gods name as he is always by our side.

Thank you , John. Yes, it’s simple, but it isn’t easy! I think of children in bad circumstances, in poverty, or illness, or anything we adults would be crushed by, and they still play and enjoy being children, leaving the heavy stuff to their parents to figure out. We should do that, yes. life is so beautiful and can be enjoyable, if we leave the heavy stuff to God. Acknowledge problems, but hand them over, and leave them handed over. but. not easy!
