Good reflection John. (Aside from the misstep saying that Snoopy’s imagination would transform him into the Red Baron when Snoppy was arch nemesis to the Red Baron as Fire32 pointed out.)
And your little humorous rubs about SF and GB hit home as I, too, am a Bears fan.
Fact is, most if not all of us have our prejudices. These are often exposed in a good examination of conscience.
Mike, a good friend of mine (a vet no less) shared with our Group Reunion that he finally stopped praying that a problematic coworker would change. Instead he started praying that he (Mike) might have a change of heart. That eased the tense situation at the clinic.
Bless them… change me. Indeed.

John, you’d better listen to that song one more time. Snoopy was an Allied pilot seeking to shoot down the Red Baron. The Baron kept defeating Snoopy through several songs, until in the end Snoopy got his victory.

Wonderful story of how the Austrians treated the Baron. May we all be so generous with our enemies.

Once I saw SNOOPY I knew this was going to be another great reflection, you did not disappoint! Prior to John’s writing, I read the readings for today. I have difficulty in following and obeying The Word (I still don’t like the Broncos) but every day is another opportunity to follow the teachings. I believe there was no malice in John’s reflection. In fact, I believe John was attempting to say no matter your “enemy” they too are Gods children and it is kinder to respect them than to do harm. David showed this by paying homage to not only Jonathan but to Saul as well who wanted David killed.
