Thanks John for an inspiring reflection. Yes, if only we pause a bit and invoke the Lord’s guidance in everything we undertake…I believe we’d have a better sense that everything will go as planned. And if not, we know it’s God’s will. Let’s not forget He does allow bad things to happen…if only to send us a message! Peace and blessings to all.

Thanks for the back story behind Isaiahs reading. I didn’t know the history of having a pact with Egypt.
It’s a bit confusing that the same God after punishing Isreal for dealing with the Egyptians would eventually send evangelist to Egypt to spread the good word.

Thank you John. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve convinced myself that taking things into my own hands was doing God’s will when in my heart I knew I was not doing it His way. It’s so hard to wait and trust in the Lord… and then sometimes even harder to follow through on His answer. Thank you God for being loving and forgiving.

Thank you Dr. John. I pray your foot and toes heal quickly. As a big “fixer”, this is something I struggle with. I practice reliance on the Lord with small matters and it helps with big ones! Reading 91 psalm is soothing too. Have a great day all.
