If we say, “We are without sin,”
we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
If we acknowledge our sins, he is faithful and just
and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from every wrongdoing.
If we say, “We have not sinned,” we make him a liar,
and his word is not in us.
Reconciliation is such a tremendous gift from God. It is amazing how much better you feel after confessing your sins and receiving absolution. Everybody sins, everybody needs God’s mercy. May we all walk in His light and be true to ourselves and our Lord.
Thank you John, for your reflection. I love the historical facts that provide background and better understanding. Such a great job drawing the comparisons beterrn Herod and Hitler.

How can we build the city of our God in this sinful world if it is not only by His mercy and grace? So, as people in this evil world, who are witnesses to the light today, may receive His mercy and Grace to courageously spread this light to the end.
