Congrats John upon the new bundle of joy! Thanks for the rich Christmas reflection. I particularly love the way you use your personal life expriences to add life and flesh onto your reflections. It’s so fascinating how well you do it; please keep it up! When I looked at your twin grandsons, I couldn’t help but imagine Mary and Joseph (of Nazareth, hehe) struggling with the hustles of a new born – very far away from their home. I haven’t tried finding out whether or not Mary’s Anna and Joachim had also travelled for the census (and therefore, could have been nearby to help – the way you and Elise have, in Senegal). Merry Christmas and may God bless you and your family.
P.S – Your daughter in Senegal now lives with her husband and three sons (not one). Remember to complete the update 🙂

Merry Christmas, John. Prayers for you and your family. Your daughter is blessed to have you both there to help. I hear that c-sections are painful recoveries. Add a 2-1/2 year old boy on top of twins…maybe someday the twins will make it the annual Twins Day Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio.

Congratulations, Grandpa! The boys look strong and ready to go! I love the first chapter of John and never realized it was Christmas Day scripture.
