Yes, often we want to know the truth, but find it difficult to accept it. And yes, there are many Catholic teachings that are hard to accept or follow…that many just leave the Catholic Church for that reason. And as Skip mentioned about Jack Nicholson…sometimes, we can’t handle the truth! We only need to seek God’s grace that we accept His truth. After all, He is the Way, the Truth and the Life!

I understand the teachings of the church but also do my best not to judge. It’s not my place to judge. We have friends that invited us to their wedding. It was canceled due to Covid but we had planned to attend and celebrate with them. They are wonderful women. I am much more comfortable calling these legal unions rather than marriages but I don’t believe that’s the way those that enter into same sex unions feel about it. It takes away the emotional part of it—that they are joining together out of love and commitment to each other. I leave it in God’s hands.
