Hey Julie,

Loved your reflection. You really have an excellent gift.

A few years ago I did my witness on sin. I asked the group if they ever wondered if we were "hardwired" for it. Seems like it's man's natural tendency, the deck being stacked against us from the get go. That and we do tend to justify our actions that cause us to make sin "gray" when in reality it is black and white.

How do we change that? Just read an article "Make Hell Hot Again" by Marc Barnes.

Nice reflection Julie, And I must say that a great deal depends on the individual personal disposition about a matter. Now that we are not under the law as Saint Paul writes it is not we that sin but the in dwelling sin that lives in me that sins. Anyway the main point being the 10 commandments become a "pattern of Holiness" that we naturally abide once Jesus enters our heart and we have the indwelling Holy Spirit. Just like works or good works are something that God lines up for us once we are firmed up in faith. Until that time or for those that are not there yet, these are conforming tools so that we do not conform ourselves to the world and sin & darkness. Well that's my view anyway. Hope it's edifying to someone or encouraging, you know those good Christian things we're supposed to be doing? Yeah those. God bless all. Praise be the Most Holy Trinity.

Thanks for your reflection Julie. I am comforted by Paul's letter today that says we are covered by the sacrifice of Jesus as long as we persevere in our faith in the Gospel. We have the Sacraments to help us but in the end we must hope for the mercy of God as he knows our hearts.
