I sometimes wondered, too, why Jesus got impatient with their disbelief, and then I think: they were still caught up in the idea of the earthly kingdom they supposed He had come to set up, and His death, having finished that idea, finished it all. In a sense, they wouldn’t be able to understand the point of His resurrection, now that the kingdom on earth was not to be. Yet He had told them, repeatedly. So they didn’t believe what they heard, nor what they saw, until they really got past their “dream” of the kingdom of Israel.

Why would you struggle with Jesus’ reaction to the lack of faith His Apostles had after His death? After all, didn’t Peter, James and John witness the Transfiguration? Not only did they see Moses and Elijah, they heard God the Father speak. I don’t know about you, but that would definitely erase any doubts I had about who Jesus is.

So put yourself in Jesus’ place, what more could’ve He done to convince His Apostles who He is? He gave them all the answers and they still failed the test.
