Yes I truly also believe the best way is to be loving yet so difficult unless you check your self talk so as the hurt/ wound does not fester. The world needs kindness, but we cannot do it alone, so pray pray pray for strength to do it. Love to all

Thank you Julie! What an insightful reflection. It is nice to break down what Jesus really meant by his words about loving your enemy. It is not only daunting to think about, but utterly impossible to do without Him-which I believe is by design. I love how He finds new ways for us to lean on His love and Power, we need only to tap into it. God bless.

This was a simple and excellent explanation of what Jesus was trying to tell us, and one I can certainly use. I am so guilty of getting angry and wanting to through get even words back at the person who harmed us. Or, worse yet, try to have a righteous come back that shows to the person how superior in justice and right that I am. It NEVER helps the situation.
I am having this struggle with one of my daughters now and have tried all MY ways of managing the problem and they have all failed miserably. I think it is time to use your Mom's, and Jesus', way now. Thanks Julie.

The reflection presents clearly the inner thoughts and feelings of the oppressed. It explains further the better reaction of stepping out of the comfort zone by "killing (the oppressor) with kindness." Very difficult indeed but I also believe that it's the most effective weapon.

I am keeping this reflection in my journal, to remind me always of the meaning of "Love your enemies." Thank you, Julie! God bless you!

Julie thanks for a wonderful reflection. I also believe in the power of forgiveness though at times it can be difficult but by God's grace we can. To me this is the only way we can become perfect. Jesus thought us in His prayer, "forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us", remember this was the very first time He was teaching his disciples how to pray.
