Hey Julie,

Absolutely nothing to be sorry about. I completely understand your point. If the last line was not spoken by our Lord, the reading would almost have a hint of humor. Something that is pretty much lacking in the Bible. Which is why I love reading your reflections, they make me smile, as did today’s. But the elephant in the room is the last line.

I enjoyed your reflection, Julie. Thank you for showing that God does not disappoint, nor does he let us down. If we seek him, he will give us the necessary wisdom or consolation to push forward. My take on the Gospel reading today is that it has a two-fold meaning. Persistence in prayer is directly related to faith.
