Dear Bob, Thanks again for a beautiful reflection on the gospel reading.
It is absolutely mind blowing to think how throughout ALL of Christianity
we as a people remain “lost sheep “! We experience glimpse of clarity,
slivers of light, and the radiance of heavenly joy, yet we also fall, become dark and dull with life. I guess this is references to, we as people can not comprehend the fullness of God. We are also a people still consumed with
our personal needs and putting God somewhere who knows where, once we got what we want.
Giving up wants , hopes, favors is extremely difficult and almost impossible with our love of family. I will start by striving to multitask my constant thoughts with prays of thanksgiving, prays for peace, prays for the humanness of being “lost sheep. Thank you

I love this message. It is the truth and it’s very apparent that our younger generations are suffering under the weight of our culture here in the United States. We need faithful people to reach out to the youth and young adults. It starts with us, the faithful. Thank you Bob.

Thank you, Bob. My cousin’s daughter is part of a missionary group called FOCUS ( Fellowship of Catholic University Students http://www.focus.org). They are young people that go to college campuses and evangelize. They each work with 3 disciples throughout the students’ time at college to teach them how to evangelize. They work closely with the disciples, offering friendship and mentoring them in living the Catholic faith. 80% of Catholics leave the faith by age 23. I was so excited to learn of a program that focuses on our young people. Especially at a time in their lives when they are learning to be adults. I thought this fit in well with today’s readings.

We are to respond, with prayer and action. To pray for the lost and abandoned, and to respond with a willingness to use the gifts that God has bestowed on us by laboring for his kingdom, each in our own little way, in our little corner of this world. Oh that I might do my part, dear Lord!

This is so moving, even as a parent, a member in the community, we all must find the space of godliness to do the work that has to be done selflessly. Save others and ourselves from this which the heart can feel is taking us from the true path. Amen
