Monday of the 32nd Week of the Ordinary Time, Year C, November 10, 2025

We all need faith, don’t we? After Jesus had instructed his disciples about forgiveness and the necessity to forgive without any limitations, the disciples in turn asked Jesus to increase their faith.

The call for discipleship is daunting, hence the plea for more belief and trust.

The cry for increase in faith is a recognition of their human inadequacy to live up to this teaching and acknowledged their need for more faith.

Our faith can grow through action, prayer, and scripture, the potency of faith comes from the one in whom it is placed, not just its quantity

Jesus responded to the apostles request by saying that faith the size of a mustard seed, could perform great things.

Our faith is based on God and not in the amount of faith.

Jesus is saying, faith isn’t something you measure by quantity – it’s measured by quality. It’s not about how much faith you have – it’s about where you put your faith – it’s about what you do with the faith you have.

May we use our faith to do the work of gratitude and appreciation. Lord, increase my faith, too.

Have a wonderful week

  1. Thank you, Father. I never thought about it being the quality not the quantity of faith. Makes sense!
