We pray each night for them to watch over and guard us. We even added: “Grant peaceful sleep throughout the night, and wake us gently with morning light.”

Although for a long time I thought of the Guardian Angel prayer mainly as a child’s prayer until I read more about how the Saints called upon their angels and then I really focused on each of the words in the prayer and appreciated all the more the role my Guardian Angel has in my life if I pray and pay attention to the guidance provided!
