Mary, God has blessed greatly with your insight and thoughts. As always, I gain so much from the Catholic.org daily readings and am grateful to all. My sincerest thank you for your suggestion to digest a reading for more than just one day. What a brilliant suggestion. I’ve had problems trying to think about 7 every week yet want to get the message for me from each of them. I will try your method and I’m sure I’ll be much happier and more enlightened with the Word speaking to me.

A response about how do we absorb new readings every day: I don’t. I can’t. I pray from the reading I am to write from for three days, then I pray from another reading (usually Sunday’s) for three days. It takes me that long. The other days readings, I listen at mass, but I limit prayer to two readings a week.

Mary you are a great teacher. But how do we ponder through the week what we read today when we are reading a new reflection each day? This may seem like an odd question, but the speed of trying to absorb all of today’s message while also trying to read a gospel message everyday is somewhat overwhelming to me. Any advice?
