All your thoughts on faith today and loss echo my own. It worries me at times, but I can and do pray. Our church may be in a storm tossed sea, and Our Lord asleep in the stern, but He is with us, and we pray He save us. Also: your account of visiting the Carmelites, and their joy, reminds me of a time when I was ten years old, and we went to visit a sister in one of the Franciscan orders. There was so much happiness there, that I still have a clear memory of the visit, and of thinking, This is the happiest day of my life. The joy of God is contagious and eternal. God bless you.
