Your peaceful and beautiful description of the life in the womb made me think this also explains why those babies who are assaulted in the womb (through maternal use of drugs, malnutrition or even maternal anxiety) are so damaged. God surely offers extra mercy to them and would ask us to do the same.

Thank you, Dan. It is easy to feel so alone on our faith journeys. I love the point you made about the soul properly disposed can see more and more Truth that it is seeking. If I simplify my day with less distractions and hurrying, I find that when I slow down I can see God patiently guiding me throughout my day. It’s that peace we all long for, and it’s available to everyone as we grow closer to Him. Thank you for such an informative reflection.
