Dan, your thoughts about staying in the battle in order to affect change makes so much more sense than just opting out and trying to speak to those in the inside and living in the present, feeling the tension. I often use this idea when defending my choice to continue to participate in my faith journey as an active Catholic.

A gospel that I seem to have overlooked in the past. Probably not understanding it well enough to ponder on. It reminds me of words from a John Cougar Mellencamp song “you have to stand for something, or you will fall for anything”. Jesus stands for so much of my life and I look around at the lost souls that I wish would stand with him…we need to reel them in one at a time. I going fishing. Blessings DM
