Evil still happens in this fallen world, but that doesn't mean God abandons us. He offers us a way through, and a way out. He never stops seeking us until we grasp his outstretched hand, and he does not let go. We do. I have to remind myself of these things all the time when my faith gets shaky. We are all called to help those in need, in trouble, and the ones who appear abandoned by God, to the best of our ability. That is the challenge for me. How do I translate my love for God to my love for others? My family? Those chance encounters? How do I meet them where they're at? We are not called to solve their problems, only God can do that. Thanks Dan, always great to read your reflections.
