I am Catholic, a practicing one and am praying to God to enable me have a better understanding of the faith i professed.

Please am disturbed , is it right for someone to pray before the dead body of another person (Saint in this case) is it not like ritual of the pagan tradition .

I believe you touched on why we go to be witnesses (or in some cases, why we don’t go/if I don’t go I can remain status quo and don’t need to become the change God wants us to be). I was particularly moved by your statement “We are always looking to be witnesses to the power of God. And we strive to feel some of that power in our own hearts and souls: a power of protection, healing, and nourishment…that will sustain us on our journey to everlasting life”. Our life is marketing, so to speak, Christian principles…every smile, every kind word, every small gesture of compassion. What is our billboard saying to those in our lives?
