Dan,
Your comment on condemning an 'entire religion' caught my eye and I hope you are not one of those who feel that our fighting against Muslim terrorists is condemnation of ALL Muslims or Islam itself?? I truly hope you meant that statement in the context of tolerance of other faiths of many kinds, which we have here in America. Terrorists who quote the Koran, and glory in killing innocents in the name of 'Allah' are specifically 'Muslim' terrorists and truly deserve to be put down as rabid dogs. I accept ALL faiths and peoples who practice them; and yet if they believe their religion or holy book calls for death to ALL who are not of their persuasion, then I draw the line and will fight them to the death at risk of our freedoms and liberty here in America. God bless America, and to HELL with those who try to destroy it!!

Hey Dan,

I do question your statement that we shouldn't try to be like God. Read Mt 5:48. Or the Catechism: "For the Son of God became man so that we might become God."

Thoughts?

It's difficult to fathom sometimes, the depth and width of God's love for us. It's endless and all-encompassing. Control is something I struggle with on a daily basis. Trying to control my children, my husband, setting unrealistic expectations at times for our family and for myself. I pray that I can learn more and more how to give this control over to God because Father knows best. Thank you, Dan, for reminding me of the importance of bending to God's mysterious ways when things in life don't always come into fruition as planned.

It's so easy to try and to think at times that you have the control to orchestrate things in your own life. I struggle with relinquishing that notion and realizing it is my Creator who is in charge. Your insights and reminders are so helpful. Thank you
