Thank you, Dan, for a great reflection that calls us to focus on treasures in Heaven, not things of this earth. I’m trying to teach my kids to distinguish between a “need” and a “want” as well as to donate toys and clothes they don’t use anymore. I haven’t been the best example to them as I tend to keep alot of smaller sizes of clothing in my closet “just in case” I lose those last 15 lbs to get to my ideal weight. Or keeping knick knacks & home goods that I may need in the future. Or those magazines that my kids may need for a school project. I need to trust God more and have faith that He will provide in due time. Lord, help me to store up treasures in Heaven by being more mindful of the poor and helping those around me.

Beautiful reflection. Not easy for everyone to accept though.

We may not want to hear this message, but it’s something we need to listen to.

Human as we are, sometimes we can’t differentiate between what we want and what we need.Which also contributes towards our avarice.
