Jack, I was a bit bent over Pope Francis climate change remarks too – but ya know, he’s human too! One of the first time he was interviewed and was asked the best way to describe himself? “A sinner” he replied. I can now understand “Backing” our Pope 100% and being able to disagree with him on climate and economic issues.

Thanks Dan, for your call to support our clergy. Just said a prayer for our priest. He is a wonderful priest and leader in our parish, and I’m sure his spiritual burden is much more than any of ours, as laity.

If we don’t achieve unity as Catholics, a unity with our other christian brotherhood is impossible. I do wish that Pope Francis would stick to doctrinal matters and shy from treating climate and economic matters as dogma. His ministry should be more on the order of Christ’s and His early apostles…concentrating on faith and salvation.

In Ghana we have a proverb that the right hand cleans the left hand and vice-versa the left hand cleans the right hand. In Dan’s REFLECTION for Today, this proverb means that both the CLERGY and the LAITY should be supportive, helpful, understanding, establish communication with one another.

Yes, our priests need our prayers and encouragement because they are more targeted by the evil. They have made a huge sacrifice of offering themselves totally to the Gospel. Through their ministrations and teaching we are blessed by God and the Church.

Yes, I must be grateful to those who brought me into the Faith such as my parents, catechist, priests, my pious groups, my baptismal godfather. Also, I must be an encouragement to those looking onto me now.
