Hello Skip, I’m just as guilty as anyone! It has affected me most personally, and after reading the reflection it just dawned on me all the errors I have ever made with regard to truly loving those I love. Thanks for your kind words.

To the people who are about to confront the sinfulness of being gay as the church States, remember that God does not make mistakes in his creation. The church is wrong and taking this position good people from the beauty of what the church could mean for them. Nowhere in the gospels will you find any reference to Jesus condemning homosexuality. I pray that you don’t put the young man or men you were about to speak to in that awful painful position of being told that there life is a sin. It is not. When I was a child I was taught as a child when I became a grown up I had to put childish things aside and think for myself. We are all equal and loved in the eyes of God.

Luara, I had to re read and contemplate what you wrote. I can not dispute what you said – very well written. I am thinking that one would have to “walk the walk” to “talk the talk”. Do you walk the talk? Being human can be so difficult.
Not bashing you Laura, your reflection really struck me hard. Keep up the good writing.

We are called to condemn sins, correct others and try to lead them back to God ……………..but this should all be done with love . Not with arrogance, not with spite, and not with anger. Show the sinner that you love them, and they will eventually appreciate your concern.

You have spoken what it truly means to love someone. To admonish their sins, and to pray for their conversion. It is, I believe, one of the great tragedies of this world to misuse love, to exploit it, and to spread lies about what love really means. It is a disservice to all who are searching for the genuine love of Jesus Christ.
