I have always wondered about the order of this great prayer, particularly “give us this day our daily bread” coming before “and forgive us our trespasses”. God is always blessing us, whether we are in a state of Grace or not. He is always there whether we ask or not. We are the work of His hands and He loves us regardless of our spiritual condition. However, that state of Grace, that closeness to him, unlocks as it were, the multitude of His blessings. May we all find the courage to always walk on the path He has set. Amen.
