The Apostles’ Creed you mention today is truly an important prayer that reminds us how genuine and primary the Catholic Church is. There is also a great mystery the Creed starts with: ‘I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of all things, seen and unseen,…’ For all those purveyors of scientific research in our days, this particular phrase has to be a great revelation! Why ‘seen and unseen’ was added could not haven been a coincidence. The Creed could have just stated ‘makers of all things’ and stopped there. Who then could have envisaged that there were so many objects which were simply invisible to the human eye, but that these would be revealed in the next two thousand years (with microscope and all sorts of scientific research)?
