Thanks Bob for the reminder that God chose us. It just happened that I changed my lock screen with same verse "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me"...and yes, I've also been told that there are no coincidences...but all through God's providence. Just a fitting message! I recommend the use of bible verses on your phone's lock screen...which you can change frequently (many images available online or create your own) and serves a daily reminder and prayer. God bless!

Thank you Bob for this awesome reflection. Sometimes we forget that we are chosen by God and he expects something from us, to bear fruit that willl last. Passing on the faith to the next generation is indeed bearing fruit that will last. Thanks for reminding us of our responsibility. It may be a bit more challenging for us in these times but Phil 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Let us hold on to this promise.
God bless.

Thank you, Bob. We are indeed the next generations of chosen people. One of my favourite quotes from the Old Testament--I have it stuck to my computer screen--is from Isaiah: Listen, Jacob my servant, Israel whom I have chosen, Thus says the Lord who formed you from the womb, Who is your help: Do not be afraid, Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen. It gave me a lift when needed, and continues to do. Having been chosen, He will not abandon us. God bless.
