Thank you Bob for your reflection. Prayers for Anna, Bill, and Katheryn.
I’ve heard stories from several generations ago that the Eucharist was not available every day as it is now. I’ve heard stories of how men would go to confession once a year just before Easter and really tried their hardest not to sin in between.
Point being perhaps absence does make the heart grow fonder from time to time. Perhaps if your mind is not where it ought to be you should forgo receiving Holy Communion and give you something to think about.
