Emptying ourselves reminded me of 1 Corinthians 13:1-8
LOVE IS
Kind, Patient, Not: Envious, Boastful, Proud. Does Not Slander, Not Self-seeking, Not Easily Angered. Does not hold Grudges, Does Not Delight in Evil.
But REJOICES with TRUTH, PROTECTS, TRUSTS, HOPES, ALWAYS PERSEVERS.

Have a blessed weekend.

Carolyn, I kept coming back to these words as I read and thought about your reflection today. “By emptying ourselves we become open to love. Once open to love we open to the giving and receiving of love – the sharing of love.” This is a constant work in progress for me because my ego gets in the way, but when I do empty, I am in awe of God’s presence. It is a great feeling.
Thank you for sharing your insight, and for reminding us how it could be if we only empty, and sit with God.

Thank You Carolyn for your reflections especially about love. I truly believe if we just look into our hearts and feel the love of Jesus our world would be a better place.
Please pray for my son Jamie he suffers from mental illness and is currently dealing with a serious back problem. These are difficult times.
Also pray for a co-worker who lost her son this past week, he was very young and left this world way too soon. His name is Adam, may he RIP!
