Please, my Christian brothers and sisters pray for Nigeria. The blood of Christians are flowing on the land of Nigeria. Innocent children are kidnapped and sometimes killed because of their faith in Christ. Nigerians are being burnt at night in their homes as they sleep, in vehicles, in their farms among others. The worst of it all, no one is arrested for these senseless acts because of the leader whose agenda is to Islamize the country. He and his accomplices have armed their young men with sophisticated weapons to carry out their mission. While on the other hand, they go about seizing weapons from Christians’ homes. May God send His angels to secure Nigeria from the hands of these terrorists and jihadists. Your fervent prayers are needed urgently.

Thank you for the reflection. I have been heavy of heart with our country’s problems and then I read Tochukwu’s prayer and our country’s problems seem to get smaller. I do, however, see the reason why so many immigrants flee their countries through his story. The two countries hunger for power and greed and are destroying all things pregnant with God. I pray for Nigeria, Tochuku and family and America. In hopes that our countries will find a soul that leads them back to God, I lay my prayers at the foot of the cross.

I seek your prayer for the christian community and smaller ethnic groups in north-central and other parts of my country,Nigeria,that are targets of persecution,destruction and elimination;their properties and lands-targets of destruction,invasion and unlawful/forceful occupation-by the Fulani herdsmen.People,both poor,innocent and helpless women and children,are losing their lives in numbers everyday;and the government of the day is not doing anything positive to stop the genocide.We need God’s miraculous intervention to save these minority groups from these outright cruelty and wickedness,grant them divine consolation and relief for all their pains and suffering so far and bring total peace in Nigeria,the troubled regions in particular.I pray that Nigeria will become pregnant with God and be able to witness the magnificient birth of love and peace.Thanks Carolyn for your wonderful reflection as always.
