Please pray for my step-son and step-daughter.
Dear Paul,
I awoke last night trying to remember the name of the novena prayer you mentioned — Thank you for reminder! The prayer brings instant peace.

As always, Carolyn, thank you for the peace you bring.

All others my heart felt prayers for each of you.

Please pray for my family to find faith together.

Prayers for my sister Julie under going spinal surgery for a tumor on her spinal cord at this moment. Your reflection on today's scripture very touching. Feel such peace. If we turn to God in all things! Like to encourage those with difficult situations with children to not loose hope. My prayer for my son was "you know Lord what it will take". Things got pretty bad but the Lord took care of things in a way I could, not imagine. Today working going to school and engaged and living his faith. I found daily mass praying to st Monica and adoration helped!

I pray for all of you. Thank you Carolyn - and all the Catholic Moment writers for your loving and uplifting words and for your insights into the word of God. I have a son with mental health issues whose behavior has separated him from family - please add him to your prayers. A very dear friend of mine passed away last week from a terrible illness that lasted many years. Sometimes it’s so hard to understand the why’s in our lives . Albert Einstein said “The most beautiful experience we can have is the mysterious.” God and his ways are mysterious and there is pain in life but also great love and beauty.

During this Advent season I wanted so much to focus on Christ, to prepare for Christmas spiritually. As others noted above, this world continues to demand my time. My position at work is overwhelming and I’m very behind on things I owe my customers. Management wants to continue to demand more. I refuse to give up my mornings before work hours when I do my readings and find so much love and fellowship in these reflections. I also refuse to give up my weekend time to visit with my aging father, children and grandchildren. I’m in sales and have a call this afternoon with my manager regarding next year’s quotas. I heard from one of the managers that our top management is requiring a very unrealistic increase. Please pray that I handle this conversation with grace and professionalism. My prayers are with all of you for the intentions above and those in the hearts of all the readers. O come Emmanuel.
