Perhaps 10 years ago I read a book that contained a analysis of the Bernard versus Peter Abelard debate. The writer was definitely critiquing the Church. His opinion was that Bernard , while brilliant and indefatigable was also confirming the Church in its anti-Semitism and mysogony. I don’t know the fine points of the debate but I do know that the Church has a long history of Anti-Semitism and mysogony. So even our greatest leaders often have blind spots that I believe should be critiqued . This is written for the purpose of dialogue so please understand it as such
