Thank you so much for this reflection. There are times that i get disappointed. I've been praying and lifting to Him all my wishes and desires. Asking for guidance on my concerns about my son's drug addiction, talking to Him how i wish i find a loving and God fearing partner who will be my forever companion.
Tabor moments comes when i see some fulfillments and feel His presence within me. My faith what makes me more hopeful of His promises. May be late but i know it's coming.

Thank you Bob! Sometimes I think we can overthink what scripture is trying to convey to us. If faith is evidence of things unseen, like it says in the book of Hebrews, we are to rejoice! God is working in us and through us, and also through different events that happen in our lives. We just don't see everything. We are so busy trying to control our lives, we often hinder His works. We do not lose faith, however, that the simple yet meaningful acts of kindness we may do for a stranger, or that important lesson we are passing down to our children goes 'wasted' or unnoticed by God. He is busy bringing out those acts of love and we often never see the results of those things in our lifetimes. But sometimes we do. And THAT is where He allows us to see the things 'unseen.' God bless!

Hey Bob,

Do I have Faith?

The way I look at it is this way. Let's take a very complex mathematical problem that only exists in our minds. Mathematicians believe that there is a solution to this problem, but the answer has yet to be discovered. Personally, I do believe they will solve it, but I really don't understand the language that they speak. Way over my head.

Do I have doubt? Sure, because I don't understand not because I don't believe.

Thank you! Of course there are times of doubt, of asking, where are you, Lord? but I have found that, when I stop and look at the Cross (really stop), and say You are true, I can feel the truth of Him. Deep down, as you say. You expressed it all so well for me.
