Yes, so timely. My mind immediately jumped to the LGBT movement and all is offshoots. It's so difficult to navigate these times as social "wisdom" is telling us we're close minded, etc. It's hard to know the right way to live each other.

Thank you Mary. This Gospel and reflection asks so many questions of us as Catholics, families...and everyone for that matter. Where do we turn in the storms of life? Always good stuff Mary O. Bless you for asking the difficult questions. Peace with you my sister.

It’s depressing to think of how many lost (deceived) souls there are who have been caught up in the tight downward spiral that this world is in.

The real shame is that they don’t even know how deceived they are! In their rebellious race forward, in total darkness, they don’t give any deep thought to what they think, say or do? They’re so busy multitasking their way through life on this spinning cesspool they don’t have time to give deep thought to anything. Especially if “everyone” is doing it? Your in deep trouble if you let “everyone” do your thinking for you!

We can’t be afraid to speak the Truth set out in the gospel just because most people “can’t handle the Truth”. Jesus tells us that in today’s reading. The key is to continue to get the Truth out regardless of the consequences to us. Some of our words will fall on fertile minds.

The gate into heaven is narrow for a reason. Not many will enter them. There are a lot of deceived people who “in love” think that they are “good people” because they support a woman’s right to abortion or embrace the gay rights movement. In reality their support for these activities is really an act of hatred for the people they claim to love and for themselves (Romans 1:18-32). Unfortunately, both of these parties, because of their pridefully rebellious nature will never understand how far off the narrow path they are, until after they have checked out.
