This is such an interesting and thought provoking reflection. Purple has many meanings and associations for me and my family, and identifying it as a longing for God makes it so much deeper. Will be thinking through the day. On a side note: various issues this year mean I won’t be looking for a new outfit for Christmas, so I pulled out a purple skirt I have, tidied it up and will be decorating a cheap lilac jumper (ie sweater) to wear with it. A culmination on Christmas day of all Advent prayers and meditations. Bless you.
