I heard a homily recently that described each of us as a piece of the beautiful Mosaic that is the body of Christ. And to complete the Mosaic before the return of our Lord and Savior, it may just be that our piece is what needs to be added to make the Mosaic complete.

I never thought of the story from that angle. There are days when I give in to the temptation of discouragement, and I don’t know where to turn when things get hard.
